The company, in which Holcim has majority stake, had sold 1.65Mt cement in August 2009, it said in a statement.
Production of the company also fell during the month at 1.56Mt from 1.63Mt a year-ago.
Cumulative sales of ACC during the January-August period of the current year stood at 14Mt vis-a-vis 14.49Mt a year ago.
Production during the first eight months of 2010 also dipped to 14.05Mt, compared to 14.48Mt in the same period last year.
