Camargo Correa continues invests in Argentine facilities
27 August 2010

Brazilian producer Camargo Correa yesterday announced that it will be investing US$50m in two of its Argentinian operations, namely Loma Negra and Ferrosur.

The investment, coming on top of US$50mil already invested this year so far locally, has been announced hard on the heels of last week’s adjudication of the contract to construct a hydroelectric dam in Santa Cruz for over US$4bn.

The new investment will be split 70-30 between cement group Loma Negra and rail-transport operation Ferrosur. Camargo Correa’s goal is to transport more cement between the Loma Negra plant in Olavarria to the plant in Canuelas.
