Lucky Cement sets up scholarship fund with LUMS, Pakistan

Lucky Cement Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Ali Tabba has joined hands with the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) to set up the “Abdul Razzak Tabba/Lucky Cement Scholarship Fund”, which will sponsor approximately 23 students of the National Outreach Programme (NOP) over a period of four years, according to a press release issued on Wednesday. 



A contract to this effect was signed between the two parties, in Karachi. The first batch of the Abdul Razzak Tabba/Lucky Cement Scholars will graduate in 2014.

The NOP is an initiative taken by LUMS, in order to identify, nurture and extend the benefits of its quality education to deserving students belonging to the country’s underprivileged segments. Through the NOP, which was initiated in 2001, 45 students have graduated from LUMS to date.
