Brazilian company wants to build cement factory Potosí , Bolivia

An undisclosed Brazilian company is interested in building the cement plant for the department of Potosí, with an investment of about US$215m under a turnkey contract.

The proposal is being reviewed the Ministry of Mines and the Government of Potosi, according to the statement of department’s first authority Felix Gonzales, who said he will analyse all the details to make a joint decision with the government. 

"There is a Brazilian company that wants to run with US$215m throughout the project and it is a serious proposal that was presented to the Ministry of Mining that they also may consider," he said. 

According to the radio report of Aclo de Erbol, he added that any possibility of investment is good but it must be subject to technical aspects.



"They want to finance 100% of the project, so the entire technical part with equipment of the latest technoogy, that would really be a breakthrough for the region [as] we want to be an industrial department," he said.
