Turkish firm Goltas exported 650,000t cement to Africa in 2009

Turkish firm Goltas exported nearly 650,000t of cement to African nations in 2009. Goltas, based in the southern province of Isparta, exported 860t of cement to several countries last year. Exports to Egypt, Libya, Angola, Cameroon, Nigerian and West African nations accounted for 75 per cent of total exports by the company.

Sertac Bora Ozyurt, director of Goltas, said on Friday that they were ranked as the 339th biggest company of Turkey in terms of annual sales.
