India: Bharathi Cement may commission phase-II expansion by Q4

Bharathi Cement, a joint venture of French cement major Vicat, is likely to commission its second phase expansion project by the last quarter of the current fiscal. This would add 2.5Mt production to the company’s existing capacity of 2.5Mt. The company has its manufacturing plant in Nallalingayapalli village, Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. Bharathi has formally launched its operations in Goa.

“We are glad to begin commercial operations in Goa. The Government intends to boost the infrastructure in the State in order to accelerate growth. We support this endeavour by the Government,” said Mr M. Ravinder Reddy, director-marketing, Bharathi Cement, said in a release.
