Lafarge Cement (WAPCO) said its half year to June pre-tax profit rose 2.6 per cent to NGN6.38bn (US$42m) from NGN6.bn a year ago.

The company said its turnover dropped to NGN23.05bn in the period from NGN25.03bn a year earlier, the cement firm said in a filing to the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
