Lafarge monthly exports to DRC reach 15,000t
Lafarge Cement Zambia is currently exporting 15,000t of cement to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) per month, commercial director Bwembya Chikwanda has disclosed. Chikwanda said besides the export quota to the DRC, Lafarge was currently exporting 4,000t of cement per month to Burundi. “At present, we are averaging between 10,000 to 15,000t of exports per month to the DRC market and we export about 4,000t per month to Burundi… those are our two main export markets. In addition to that, we also…especially that we have increased our production capacity in Zambia, we continuously look out for export opportunities in the region,” Chikwanda said.
