FCC 1H net profit rises 6%, Spain
Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas SA (FCC) said Thursday its first-half net profit rose close to 6% on the year, as waste management services continued to offset pressure from weak construction operations.
The Spanish construction company said first-half net profit rose to EUR101.2m from EUR95.6m a year earlier.
The company’s EBITDA fell 2.8% to EUR666m, while sales fell 4.9% to EUR5.72bn during the same comparative period.
EBITDA from waste management and environmental services rose 2.6% in the first half to EUR296.3 million; while EBITDA from construction operations fell 4.2% to EUR174.6m.
