Preliminary results released by the Brazilian industry and market estimates indicate that cement sales in Brazil for the last 12 months (July 2009-June 2010) amounted to 55Mt – representing a YoY increase of 7.4 per cent  (July 08-June 09).

During the Jan-June 2010 period sales reached 27.6Mt, translating into a 14.6% YoY rise.

For the month of June sales stood at 4.7Mt, an expansion of 10.2 per cent on June 2009.
