China partners Sokoto on cement factory, Nigeria
Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aliyu Wamakko, has revealed plans by the state government in collaboration with the Chinese government to establish a cement factory in the state.
Alhaji Wamako who made the disclosure at a dinner organised by the Nigeria-China Business Council in Abuja to honour the outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Xu Jianguo, said that the state is embarking on the project to boost its economic potentials and create jobs for the people.
He said, “We have put in place arrangement that will soon metamorphose into a cement factory in our state. We have the required resources and we are ready to provide the enabling environment for our investors to come in. Already, the Chinese government has agreed to partner with us in this project.”
