Holcim plant earns industry safety honours, USA
The Midlothian Holcim cement plant recently surpassed numerous safety milestones and received several prestigious industry safety awards.
For the first time in the history of the plant, employees have worked more than five years without a lost-time injury and have exceeded one year without having an injury reaching the level of seriousness that would require reporting to the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MHSA).
MHSA, the federal branch of the U.S. Department of Labor with jurisdiction over the cement manufacturing industry, recently nominated the Holcim Midlothian plant for the prestigious Sentinels of Safety award for this outstanding record. Published under Cement News
