Kesoram Industries to install plant at Vasavadatta, India

Kesoram Industries’ board at its meeting held on July 01, 2010, has approved the installation of a 1.71Mt clinker plant together with a 18MW captive power plant at the Vasavadatta cement section in Sedam (Karnataka).

The board has also approved construction of a 2.5Mt grinding plant at Sholapur in the state of Maharashtra at a cost of Rs 925 crore. In addition it has approved installation of waste heat recovery system to generate power at different units of the Vasavadatta Cement Section.

All these projects are expected to start production by September, 2012.
