Mynaral Tas Company, together with French investor Vicat Group started up its 1.2Mta cement plant on Monday. The plant is located in Zhambyl Oblast, in southern Kazakhstan.
"The plant will produce cement for construction of Western Europe - Western China highway and the Balkhash power plant," said Zhambyl region akim Kanat Bozumbayuev during the commissioning. He noted that the first shipment of cement clinker is planned in two months.
