Holcim to increase clinker capacity, Morocco

To meet the growing demand of cement in Morocco, and in anticipation of an advance the optimal long-term market dynamics and the construction industry, particularly in the region of Fez, Holcim says it plans to double clinker capacity at its Ras El Ma plant.

This project aims to increase clinker production capacity to 900,000tpa, corresponding to an output of 1.2Mta of cement, which should be operational by early 2012. The investment is valued at MOD1.4bn.
