Authorities of Vietnam’s central province of Thua Thien-Hue have given approval to Song Hong Corporation to build Long Tho II cement plant next July.

The plant will have a total investment of VND763.6bn (US$40.2m) and an annual production capacity of 350,000t of cement, the Phap luat Vietnam newspaper reported Thursday.

The plant, to be situated in the Huong Tra district, is slated to begin operation in February 2014.
