BRC Cimento started breaking ground at Rosario Oeste (Mato Grosso) with plans to set up a 2Mta cement plant, and also have to other similar units in the North and Southeast regions of Brazil. The group aims to achieve a sizeable capacity of 8Mta preferably via partnerships.

The company has already engaged in negotiations with other local players such as CSN Cimento,  Votorantim, Camargo Correa and also with Mexican major Cemex.
