ACC announced that the cement production for the month of April declined to 1.79Mt from 1.84Mt in April 2009. The cement despatches for the month edged down to 1.79Mt from 1.8Mt in the year ago month.
 
The cumulative cement production for the period from January to April 2010 fell to 7.33Mt from 7.44Mt in the year ago period. The cumulative cement despatches for the period dropped to 7.34Mt from 7.44Mt in January-April 2009.
