Alhaji Aliko Dangote, founder and chairman of Nigeria-based Dangote Industries, plans to open cement and flour factories in Sierra Leone’s port in the capital, Freetown.

Dangote would import raw materials and ship the bulk of the finished product as exports, should his company be granted licences, he said at a presentation in Freetown.

The Sierra Leone Port Authority is in the process of selling the state-owned port.
