West China Cement said its Yangzian plant, located in Hanzhong County commenced production and sales of cement in the last week of March following the firing up of the kiln on December 31, and it is currently running at full production capacity.

The plant, the first of two planned by the company in Hanzhong County, comprises a 2500tpd NSP clinker line with a cement capacity of 1.1Mta. The company’s second plant, the Mianxian works, is on schedule and commissioning is expected in 3Q10.
