Cementos Argos seeks Panama Canal contract

Cementos Argos of Colombia is to participate in a tender for the provision of 1.5Mt (50 per cent) of the cement required in the expansion of the Panama Canal. The contract is worth US$90m, according to Jose Alberto Velez Cadavid, president of Inversiones Argos (Inverargos), the owner of Cementos Argos.


Cementos Argos recently completed the expansion of its own Panama facility increasing capacity from 770,00t to 1.6Mt.
