ACC of India has decided to process non-degradable waste  materials (such as water bottles, polythene and other waste materials) in the cement making process at its plant in Bargarh, western Orissa.

Business Standard reports that the company will enter into agreements with the major urban local bodies (ULBs) of the state to take up the processing of such materials. Some ULB officials have visited the company’s plant in Katni (Madhya Pradesh) where plastic and polyethylene is used.
