It would be inefficient to increase quantity of cement works in Kazakhstan. First Vice Premier of Kazakhstan, Umirzak Shukeev, informed at a meeting with the heads of the investment projects realized in the Zhambyl area, the agency reports.

According to U Shukeev, "those cement works available in Kazakhstan, which will be commissioned this year, will be quite enough."

"This year two cement works will be commissioned in Shymkent and two other large cement works in the Zhambyl area: Open Company Mynyral tas company with the capacity of 1.2Mt of cement and JSC Company ACIG at the station Hantau with the capacity of 500,000tpa. All of them are aimed at construction of the highway - Western Europe - Western China."
