Michael Zaoui, Morgan Stanley’s former chairman of European mergers and acquisitions, has been hired as an adviser by Lafarge SA, Financial News reported.

Zaoui is advising the company on the sale of its stake in Cimpor to Brazil’s Votorantim Cimentos SA, the Web publication said, citing an unidentified person familiar with the transaction. Zaoui retired from Morgan Stanley in 2008.
