Shree Cement said on Monday its January shipments rose 18 per cent to 882,000t, up from 749,000t a year earlier.

Total shipments during April-January period rose 24 per cent to 7.65Mt, up from 6.18Mt a year ago, it said in an e-mailed statement.

The company has a capacity to produce 9.5Mt of cement annually at its plant in the north western state of Rajasthan.
