Siam Cement, Thailand’s biggest industrial conglomerate, said on Thursday it had sought approval from a Thai court to restart five projects at the Map Ta Phut industrial complex halted by court order.

"We have submitted five projects to the court which have a combined value of over THB10bn (US$304m) out of a total 18 suspended projects," President Kan Trakulhoon told reporters.
