Indian cement maker Shree Cement said on Monday its December shipments rose 22.4 per cent to 858,000t, up from 701,000t a year earlier.

Total shipments during April-December period rose 24.67 per cent to 6.77Mt, up from 5.43Mt a year ago, it said in an emailed statement.

The company has a capacity to produce 9.5Mta of cement at its plant in the north western state of Rajasthan.
