Pak investing in Sri Lanka joint venture

Pak cement industrialist has planned to invest PKR10bn (US$120m) to build a plant in Sri Lanka besides catering to local market the plant will also supply cement to India and Bangladesh The factory may have a capacity to produce as much as 2Mt of cement and will be built in partnership with state owned Sri Lanka Cement Corp.

This follows recent moves such as a joint venture between DG Khan Karachi & state owned Sri-Lanka plants and yet another joint venture signed by Lucky Cement in Egypt/Africa.
