Chinese, Enugu state sign agreement

The Enugu State Government, yesterday, disclosed that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Chinese firm on cement production.

Speaking at the Enugu State Day, at the just concluded Lagos International Trade Fair, the Enugu State  Commissioner  for Commerce and Industry, Prince San Chukwuani said that the state had signed an MoU with a Chinese firm, to start the production of cement in Enugu.

According to him, the state had also signed an agreement with a company on power generation and  are carrying out environmental impact assessment, adding that they intend to use coal to generate power.
