Vietnam’s total cement consumption rose slightly to 3.51Mt in Oct., the Dau Tu newspaper reported Monday, citing the Ministry of Construction.

The figure has raised the country’s cement consumption to 35.82Mt in the first 10 months of 2009, meeting 81.4% of full-year target.

In Jan-Oct, Vietnam’s cement production output reached 36.31Mt, including 3.55Mt in October.

Vietnam is forecast to use between 44Mt and 45Mt this year, the ministry said.
