Indonesian cement industry picked by ministry to be revitalised

The Indonesian industry ministry said it will revitalise four manufacturing sectors under its program in the next five years.

Industry Minister MS Hidayat said cement,  sugare fertilizer and palm oil-based industries will be included in the working program of the ministry until 2014, the end of his term.

The four sectors are vital in the program to improve the welfare of the people, Hidayat said.

He said revitalization will focus on improvement of productivity, efficiency of the industries.

He said development of new cement factories will be concentrated more in the eastern part of the country where the basic material is available in abundance.
