Adana Cimento and FLSmidth Denmark have signed a contract for the high level optimisation (ECS/ProcessExpert®) of two Roller Press plus Ball Cement Mills. The optimisation of the circuit will significantly improve production, energy efficiency, reduction on quality variations and reduced stress to plant operators. The latest ECS/ProcessExpert® applications, including MPC (model predictive control) and “soft sensor” technology will be implemented and the commissioning is expected to be finished by the end of 2009. The order also contains options for further ECS/ProcessExpert® mill applications.

Earlier in June 2009, FLSmidth Automation has received another order for its process simulation system, ECS/CEMulator®, from Adana Cimento. The order includes two training stations with modules for ILC Kiln with SF cooler, Cement Ball mill, Raw Mill, Coal Mill. The system will be used to improve operator’s skills on process behaviour and interactions to handle the daily operation in the most safe, and optimum way. The training platform will also result in increasing the process availability by proper handling of the unforeseen abnormal conditions.
