Croatia’s Nexe Group opens ready-mix plant in Serbia

Croatia’s Nexe Group, a leading producer of construction materials in the Balkans, has opened a Euro2.5m ready-mix plant in the Serbian city of Novi Sad.

"This factory meets every necessary European Union eco-standard and it will ship top-quality fresh cement. This is Nexe Group’s first greenfield investment in Serbia and its capacity is 80m3 of fresh cement per hour," group head Ivan Ergovic told reporters.
 
"Since 2003 Nexe group has invested some Euro90min Serbia. Most of it was invested in modernisation of our units," Ergovic added.
 
Nexe Group , which manufactures cement, ready-mix concrete, lime and aggregates, owns several plants in Serbia, including Polet in Novi Becej and Jelen Do.

Among other operations are construction engineering, building construction, wine production, milk production, river reloading, trade, and services.
