Dalmia relief housing for flood damaged Karnataka, India

As a relief measure Dalmia Cement has announced it will build 1000 houses for the homeless people affected by the recent floods in Karnataka.

A letter in confirmation has been given to the Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr Yediyurappa at a function organized at Bengaluru.

Mr Puneet Dalmia MD of Dalmia Cement said that "We are aggrieved by the loss of lives and property caused by the unprecedented natural calamity in parts of North Karnataka. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility we join hands with the Government and extend our support to rebuild the infrastructure in the affected areas. We will construct 1000 houses in the State for rehabilitation of distressed people."
