KHD Humboldt Wedag to build cement plant in Russia

KHD Humboldt Wedag has commenced construction of a cement production facility in the Chudovksy district of the Novgorod region.

Investment in the plant’s construction, which is planned for opening in August 2012, comes to RUB 18 billion. The plant will be able to produce 6,000 tonnes of cement a day. The facility will sell its production in the North-West and Central Federal Districts.

KHD Humboldt Wedag develops and supplies technology, machinery and equipment for the production of cement, as well as the processing of coal, ore and other minerals.

The project is being jointly implemented with St Petersburg-based OJSC Cement.
