"We are going to take a decision on cutting prices in Maharashtra and adjoining areas in a couple of days," Vinod Juneja told Dow Jones Newswires over the phone.
He said the main reason for the price cut in the region was the dip in demand due to the annual monsoon season.
Demand in north India, however, remains high, Juneja said, adding that the company has no plans to cut prices in that region.
