Lafarge invests in the Kaluga Region, Russia

Lafarge is planning to invest RUB18bn in the construction of a cement plant in the Kaluga Region, Russia.

Governor of the Kaluga region Anatoly Artamonov, and president of Lafarge Vostok (a Lafarge company), Nicolas Fournier, have signed an investment cooperation agreement to implement the construction ofthe cement plant in the region.
 
The enterprise will be located in the Ferzikovsky District.  Last year Lafarge announced plans to build four cement plants in Russia -in Kaluga, Rostov Region, Krasnodar Territory and Chelyabinsk Region. But due to the current crisis the investment program of the company has been revised.
