US firm Platineum Partners will build a cement plant in the Uzbek autonomous zone of Karakalpakstan with the capacity of 1Mt in 2009-2011, UzDaily.com reported.
The US firm has already started construction works and now it is holding negotiations with the Chinese companies for equipment supply.
The project, costing US$128m, will be financed with US$58m of the company’s own resources and with US$70m in loans.
