Riyadh Cement Co a private Saudi Cement manufacturing Co has awarded a contract to China’s Sinoma International Engineering Co a subsidiary of China National Materials Co to double its cement production capacity by the end of 2009.

ThyssenKrupp and Finnish engineering group Wartsila have also won parts of the first contract.

To effectively implement the contract, Sinoma will add a second line to raise Riyadh Cement’s annual cement production capacity to 4Mt. Sinoma has also built the Saudi firm’s existing production line.
