Brazil’s cement sales totaled 4.1Mt in May, down 2% on the same month last year, according to preliminary figures Thursday from the National Cement Industry Association (Snic).

Over January-May sales were 19.Mt, down only 0.3% on the same period last year.

In the 12 months though May there were 51.1Mt sold, up 8.3% on the prior 12 months.
