Pretoria Portland Cement Company (PPC.J) advises that its earnings per share and headline earnings per share for the six months ended March 31, 2009 are expected to be between 75% and 90% less compared with the period ended March 31, 2008.

Earnings per share and headline earnings per share excluding the IFRS 2 charge relating to the BBBEE transaction do not differ by more than 20% from those of the previous corresponding period.
