Baltsem ends 2008 with UAH 278m in profit, Ukraine
One of three largest Ukrainian cement producers Balakliya-based Baltsem Company, Kharkiv region, ended 2008 with a net profit of UAH 278m.
Ukrainian News learned this from the statement of the company, the wording of which was made available to the agency.
According to the statement, the company increased net revenues by 20.8% or UAH300m in 2008 over 2007, to UAH1.74bn.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Baltsem ended 2007 with a profit of UAH354.8m.
Baltsem is part of the Eurocement Group Ukraine (Kyiv), which is a subsidiary of the Eurocement Group international industrial holding company (Moscow).
Eurocement Group Ukraine also includes Kramatorsk-based Pushka Cement Plant, Donetsk region, which is capable to produce 580,000tpa of cement.
