Lafarge to launch the first stage of a cement plant in Russia’s Rostov Region in 2012, the press office of the region’s agency for investment said Monday.

The first stage of the plant will have an annual production capacity of 2Mt of cement.

According to earlier reports, the plant will be located in the region’s Matveyevo-Kurgansky district. The plant’s capacity is expected to reach 4Mt after the launch of the second stage in 2015.
