Holcim seeks approval to buy Malaysian unit

PT Holcim Indonesia, the nation’s third-biggest cement maker, said it will hold a shareholders meeting next month to seek approval for its plan to acquire a Malaysian-based affiliate of its parent.

Holcim Indonesia plans a shareholders meeting on May 18 to ask for, among other things, approval to buy a 100 per cent stake in Holcim (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd from Holcim Ltd, Budi Primawan, a spokesman at the Indonesian company, said in Jakarta yesterday.
