HeidelbergCement Ukraine, located in the Dnipropetrovsk region, may reduce cement output by 10% or 400,000t to 3.6Mt in 2009 compared with 2008, a source in the company told Ukrainian News.
However, these plans may undergo changes provided the situation is worsened, he said.
"We produced about 4Mt of cement in 2008. We plan a 10% fall in this year’s production, but this figure will be adjusted to the economic situation in this country," he said.
