Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd  said its January cement shipments rose 5.7 per cent to 259,000t from 245,000t a year earlier.  

Production in January rose 6.6 per cent to 275,000t from 258,000t a year ago.  

Its total shipments and production in April-January rose more than a quarter to 2.7Mt each, the company said in a statement.
