The central Cuban province of Sancti Spiritus has increased production of construction materials for the domestic market and export. As per this local report the province already supplies large volumes of limestone, some of which is used in the local steel industry

The report added that this year’s plan includes supplying 7000t of limestone to the steel plants of Antillana de Acero and ACINOX. In addition, some 20,000t of limestone will go to the Siguaney plant this year, the only factory that produces white cement in Cuba.
