Dalmia Cement commissions AP plant, India
Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd has commissioned a 2.25Mt greenfield cement project in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, according to a press release from the company.
Mr Gautam Dalmia, Joint Managing Director, Dalmia Cement, lighted the kiln and launched the operation.
This takes the company’s annual cement production capacity to 5.75Mt including the output from its two other plants in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The company has another project under implementation at Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu. Dalmia Cement expects to commission this 2.25Mt unit in 2009.
Dalmia Cement (Bharat) has announced major expansion plans through a subsidiary, Dalmia Cements Ventures Ltd, which is to invest more than Rs 4,000 crore over the next three years to add 10Mt production capacity. Published under Cement News
