Shree Cement said on Tuesday its October shipments rose 12.81 per cent to 625,000t, from 554,000t a year earlier.

Total shipments between April to October 2008 rose 21.23 per cent to 4.11Mt from 3.39Mt a year ago, it said in a statement.

The firm has a capacity to produce 8Mta of cement at its plant in the northern state of Rajasthan.
