According to Al-Riyadh newspaper (November 3, 2008), an official report shows that the sales volume of the operating cement companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia fell by SAR250m, which is equivalent to 7.1%, in the first nine months of 2008 compared with the same period last year.

The report relates this sales withdrawal to the cement export suspension decision earlier this year.
